Our Blade of Honour Project “From those who served as ground crew to those whose contributions were less obvious but equally valuable, such as in runway maintenance or repairing telephone lines, we are looking to mark the commitment of the thousands of people who contributed to the success of ‘the Few’ in 1940,” said Trust Chairman Richard Hunting CBE.
Opening Hours
Entry to the Memorial and The Wing is free, although parking charges apply (£2 for two hours or £6 for all day).
The only paid-for attraction is our must-see interactive Scramble Experience, which appeals to all age groups and is well worth a visit - pricing available here. Please note, visitors are entitled to a repeat visit within seven days of paying for admission, on production of the original ticket.

The Memorial site itself is open 365 days a year to those on foot (access is via the side gate), with the car park, shop, cafe and Scramble Experience open as per the times shown below.Our normal opening times are:
1 Mar to end Sep, 10am – 5pm
(last entry to the Experience/cafe 4.30pm)1 Oct to end Feb, 10am – 4pm
(last entry to the Experience/cafe 3.30pm)
Please note that the site will be closed on Mondays from 18 Nov to 24 Feb 2025 inclusive.
Please note dogs on leads are welcome in the Memorial grounds but only assistance dogs are allowed inside The Wing
