Everything kicks off with the Christmas Tree Light Switch On at The George Hotel in Rye (from 4:45pm)! Then wander the streets of Rye for festive shopping in our fabulous independent shops, grab yourself some festive food and drink and enjoy some live music! Please read the public information below for more information.
PARKING
All car parks run by Rother District Council (Bedford Place, Lucknow Place, Cinque Ports Street, The Strand, Gibbet Marsh) will be free of charge on Saturday evening from 4pm. Please note there will still be charges for on street parking.
OUR STAFF
All festival staff can be easily identified by their high vis jackets. If you have any concerns or problems on the evening, please find one of us and we will be happy to help. All festival committee have current DBS certification.
NON-FESTIVAL SELLERS
Events such as these can attract street sellers and stalls. While the committee will do all they can to prevent this, it is something that is sometimes beyond our control.
The Rye Christmas Festival committee do not take responsibility for the goods or services of any unauthorised traders at the event.

RDC will advertise the concessions on their website and through ‘My Alerts’. There will be signage within the car parks and on/at the machines; and RingGo will be notified so they will suspend the parking charges on their app and telephone payment system.
